Senior Java Developer – Energie Markt

EDSN seeks a Senior Java Developer to build robust, scalable solutions that support the energy transition in the Netherlands. Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining back‑end services that form part of the national energy system;
coaching colleagues, guiding technical choices, and collaborating in a DevOps team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure back‑end solutions within a modern Java stack.
• Strategically advise on software architecture and technology choices.
• Coach mid‑level and junior colleagues within the team.
• Work with Spring Boot, Docker, GitLab, Maven and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary DevOps teams with a high degree of autonomy.
• Help build an IT landscape of national importance.
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation at EDSN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of Java development experience in complex environments.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices, Docker and CI/CD.
• Proven experience in technical leadership and architecture challenges.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Fluent in Dutch.
