Position OverviewSynechron is a global digital consulting firm delivering solutions in artificial intelligence, cloud, and data engineering. We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and implement Java-based solutions ranging from mobile applications to database programming.
ResponsibilitiesDesigning and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high availability and performance
Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
Writing well designed, testable, efficient code
Improving existing systems by adding new features in line with business specifications
Monitoring performance and implementing innovative solutions to improve overall system
Collaborating with peers and team members to build scalable, secure, and quality products
Performing regular checks and following best practices to develop, deploy, and maintain software
Deploying new features and products into the production environment
Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in Java and strong understanding of its ecosystem
Sound knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns
Familiarity with architectural patterns
Skill in writing reusable Java libraries
Knowledge of Java concurrency patterns
Basic understanding of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful web services
Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, AWT as required
Experience in creating database schemas that support business processes
Basic knowledge of JVM, its drawbacks, weaknesses, and workarounds
Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
Understanding of build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in the banking domain
