Position Overview
Synechron is a global digital consulting firm delivering solutions in artificial intelligence, cloud, and data engineering. We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and implement Java-based solutions ranging from mobile applications to database programming.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high availability and performance
- Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Writing well designed, testable, efficient code
- Improving existing systems by adding new features in line with business specifications
- Monitoring performance and implementing innovative solutions to improve overall system
- Collaborating with peers and team members to build scalable, secure, and quality products
- Performing regular checks and following best practices to develop, deploy, and maintain software
- Deploying new features and products into the production environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java and strong understanding of its ecosystem
- Sound knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns
- Familiarity with architectural patterns
- Skill in writing reusable Java libraries
- Knowledge of Java concurrency patterns
- Basic understanding of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful web services
- Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, AWT as required
- Experience in creating database schemas that support business processes
- Basic knowledge of JVM, its drawbacks, weaknesses, and workarounds
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
- Understanding of build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking domain
