Java Engineer

Join our Commodities and Global Markets division as a Java Engineer where you will be part of our organisation directly impacting a range of technologies, including our Trading, Risk, Transaction and Data applications.

What role will you play?

As a Java Engineer, you will be responsible for architecture, design, development, testing and operations. You will analyse and understand the problems to deliver reliable software solutions to help drive our initiatives forward, including New Application Development, features and migration activity.

What you offer

• 4+ years’ of practical experience coding in Core Java
• Experience with modern Java functionality and experience with SOLID principles and functional programming
• 2+ years’ of practical experience with Spring and Spring Boot
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience in RDBMS and SQL
• Experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
• Experience using and developing RESTful APIs
• Experience with cloud technologies in AWS, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Exposure to front end technologies such as Angular or React
