Java Engineering Manager (Polanco)

Key Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end design and development of enterprise applications using Java (backend) and Angular (frontend) technologies
Own application architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
Drive technical decision‑making, code standards, and best practices across full‑stack development
Review and approve high‑level designs, detailed designs, and complex code changes
Mentor and guide senior and junior developers; provide technical leadership during delivery and production support
Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Oversee integration with third‑party systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms
Lead modernization initiatives including legacy transformation, cloud enablement, and performance optimization
Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, compliance requirements, and enterprise governance
Provide technical oversight during incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements
Contribute to estimation, solutioning, risk identification, and delivery planning

Qualifications

15+ years of overall experience in enterprise application
Strong hands‑on expertise in Java (Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful services)
Strong hands‑on experience in Angular (Angular 10+, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3)
Proven experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Developer in large‑scale programs
Experience in end‑to‑end full stack development, including backend, frontend, and integration layers
