Senior Java Algo Developer , building the ultra-low-latency execution technology supporting systematic and discretionary trading strategies across global markets.
Working directly with Portfolio Managers, Quant Researchers and Traders, you'll design and enhance high-performance execution systems that power the firm's electronic trading infrastructure. This is a front-office engineering role with significant ownership, where your work will have a direct impact on execution quality, trading performance and alpha generation.
What you'll be doing
Design and develop low-latency Java execution systems for global electronic trading.
Build smart order routing, execution algorithms and connectivity to exchanges, brokers and ECNs.
Optimise trading infrastructure for latency, throughput and reliability.
Partner closely with traders, quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to implement new execution strategies.
Develop scalable, resilient, event-driven systems capable of handling high-volume real-time market data and order flow.
Drive architectural improvements across the execution platform.
What we’re looking for
Strong commercial Java development experience within electronic trading or execution systems.
Experience building OMS, EMS or algorithmic execution platforms.
Deep understanding of market microstructure, order lifecycles and exchange connectivity.
Experience with multithreading, concurrency and low-latency programming.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, messaging technologies and performance optimisation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work directly with front-office stakeholders.
