Java Full-Stack Developer
We are seeking a skilled Java Full-Stack Developer to join our Technology team, working on high‑volume backend systems and customer‑facing features. This role supports a hybrid model: two days in the office, remaining days remote.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid work model with two onsite days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and the option to work remotely for the rest of the week.
Responsibilities
- Participate in critical projects with direct impact on Priceline’s business.
- Be part of a cross‑functional agile team that experiments, iterates, and delivers new product objectives.
- Showcase core Java programming and contribute to full‑stack initiatives by building user‑facing features using React/JavaScript and integrating them with GraphQL APIs.
- Develop low‑latency, high‑throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.
- Implement SQL queries and real‑time data analysis for investigative purposes.
- Apply knowledge of codebase, systems, and business requirements to make effective application changes.
- Collaborate with the team, speak up for solutions, and engage respectfully in compromise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
- Strong Core Java programming skills.
- Experience with Spring Frameworks, web services and APIs.
- Front‑end development experience with JavaScript and React, and solid understanding of GraphQL.
- Experience with AI coding tools (Claude or Cursor preferred).
- Proficient SQL skills for composing queries and analysis.
- Familiarity with Git and Gitflow; influencer of best practices.
- Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, Docker is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP and AWS.
