Java Full Stack Developer

We're looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with deep banking or financial services experience to build and support secure, high-volume, low-latency banking systems. The ideal candidate brings strong Java and React expertise, hands-on OpenShift and DevOps experience, and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance in a mission-critical environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop secure, high-volume banking applications using Java and React
• Work within a DevOps environment supporting mission-critical banking platforms
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines aligned with banking release governance standards
• Deploy and manage containerized microservices on Red Hat OpenShift
• Handle complex financial data and transactional systems using strong SQL skills
• Implement and maintain Elastic Stack solutions for monitoring, audit logs, and compliance reporting
• Drive application security practices including vulnerability remediation and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with stakeholders and take ownership of delivery outcomes in a regulated environment

What you bring

• 6+ years of experience in Java development within banking or financial services
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and React for enterprise-grade applications
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized microservices architecture
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in a governed banking environment
• Deep expertise in Elastic Stack including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
• Strong SQL skills with experience in complex financial and transactional data
• Solid background in application security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance
• Eligibility for a mandatory background check

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Scala, particularly for data processing or risk analytics
• Prior experience in a highly regulated Tier-1 banking environment
• Familiarity with banking audit and compliance reporting frameworks

Work setup

• Onsite in Toronto, ON, 4 days per week
• In-person interview required
• 6+ month contract
