Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, frontend UI frameworks, data engineering, and cloud/distributed platforms and a proven ability to design, migrate, and optimize enterprise applications and business processes to a strategic future-state platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and support migration of applications and processes from legacy platforms to the strategic platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to plan and execute migration waves and mitigate risks.
- Profile and tune performance of data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications.
- Influence architecture and platform adoption through technical design and code quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of core Java (Java 11+) including multithreading, collections, and functional programming; Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate.
- Strong database design, SQL expertise, and query tuning/optimization.
- Proven performance tuning, memory profiling, and optimization for enterprise systems.
- Frontend UI experience (5+ years): HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, Bootstrap within Agile environments.
- Big Data and cloud exposure: Apache Spark, Hadoop, and distributed ecosystem concepts.
- Domain knowledge in enterprise stress testing and risk management (credit, operational, market).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud computing architectures and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and CI/CD practices.
