Wells Fargo is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to support the ERLMF (Early Resolution) application within the Home Lending/Mortgage organization.
The application supports early resolution processes related to mortgages and is currently in production with ongoing enhancements and new development. The team is also planning to build and integrate a sophisticated AI-powered tool involving complex business rules and automation.
The selected candidate will join one of three Scrum teams contributing to the application and will help expand the team's technical capabilities by working across multiple areas of the application.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to full-stack application development and integration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Support application configuration, automation, and ongoing enhancements.
- Contribute to the development and integration of planned AI capabilities.
- Work with complex business rules and mortgage-related workflows.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support as needed.
- Collaborate with multiple Scrum teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Expand technical expertise across different components of the application.
- 4+ years of software engineering/development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Java development experience within the last 2 years
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Mortgage and/or banking domain experience is mandatory
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Claude / Anthropic
- Experience with Devin
- Experience with Cursor
- Exposure to AI/ML application development or AI-powered tools
- Experience working with complex business rules and automation
Must Have:
- 4+ years of engineering experience
- Recent Java development experience
- Strong Spring Boot experience
- Mortgage or banking domain experience MUST HAVE
- Ability to work on W2
- Ability to work onsite according to the required hybrid schedule
