Location: Halifax, NS (4x onsite a week)

Pay Rate: CAD$45 - $50/HR INC

Job Description

• We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with 6+ years of experience in banking or financial services applications
• Strong hands on expertise in Java & React.JS for building secure, high volume, low latency banking systems
• Experience working in DevOps environments supporting mission critical banking platforms
• Hands on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and containerized microservices architecture.
• Strong SQL knowledge with experience handling complex financial data and transactional systems.
• Deep expertise in Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring, audit logs, and compliance reporting.
• Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines aligned with banking release governance.
• Strong background in application security, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of Scala is a plus, especially for data processing or risk analytics systems.
• Experience working in regulated banking environments with strong ownership and stakeholder collaboration.
