Purpose of the function

To develop, program, test and maintain assigned software applications and management software in order to obtain the most reliable IT applications possible that meet the needs and expectations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in defining user needs and conduct feasibility analyses to understand user requirements, assess technical feasibility, and facilitate application programming.
Perform technical analysis and write documentation related to modifications and developments of assigned applications to create a useful foundation for simplifying future application changes.
Test solutions developed within the department and make any necessary modifications to ensure they meet established quality standards and business needs.
Monitor production developments and make adjustments as needed, contributing to the development and improvement of assigned applications to ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
Control, analyze, and resolve support requests and bugs related to assigned applications to guarantee the most reliable operation possible.
To act as an advisor for technical support and functional issues concerning software applications and management software, as well as the implementation of solutions for internal and external parties, in order to provide support during the use and development of the various applications in an optimal manner.

Responsibilities

Understands and challenges client requests and needs (what, why, who, when, where, and how), ensuring a critical, analytical, and creative approach.
Understands various database modeling concepts and object-oriented programming.
Capable of working across the entire backend technical chain and the technologies used.
Strong expertise in Java 8+ (Reactive Streams, performance optimization, etc.) and associated frameworks (primarily Spring and Maven).
Good knowledge of the following components: Jenkins, Jira, Git, etc. Knowledge of microservices implementation and database queries (Oracle, SQL, and DB2) is an asset.
Documents the applications under their responsibility (e.g., user manuals, processes, etc.).
Participates in the team's Agile way of life (Scrum Methodology).
Develops and tests.
Develops new features or bug fixes in Java, following established patterns.
Tests their own work or that of a team member.
Supports the Business at the Data Usage level
Technical analysis and challenges business analyses
Compliance with D'Ieteren IT Governance and Strategy

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Knowledge/Experience

Master's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Hands-on experience in Java analysis and development (Spring and Reactive Streams preferred)
Good knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and Jira components
Good knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc.)
Knowledge of using an IDE such as IntelliJ or similar
Good frontend experience with the latest versions of Angular (React is a plus)
Comfortable with the following concepts: ngrx, OpenID Connect, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Sass.
Knowledge of JSON Forms is also an asset.
Good knowledge of French or Dutch (spoken/written), and knowledge of English (spoken/written)
Listening comprehension of French is an asset (French-speaking team)
