We are partnering with a leading enterprise organization to hire three (3) Java Full Stack Developers to support the development of advanced, enterprise-scale platforms used in cutting-edge research and data-driven initiatives.
This is a high-impact engineering role within a collaborative, forward-thinking team building modern applications that support complex data environments.
Location & Schedule:
- Primarily Remote
- Onsite once per month in Worcester, MA (may be short notice)
- Please note that candidates must be willing to travel at their own expense if not local to Worcester
Role Overview:
This is a full stack position with a strong backend focus, working primarily within the Java ecosystem (Java 18). You will contribute to building scalable, enterprise-level applications with complex integrations and high data volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and related technologies
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and support data processing workflows (ETL)
- Contribute to frontend development as needed (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular)
- Collaborate across teams on architecture, development, testing, and deployment
- Participate in code reviews and best practice enforcement
- Support full application lifecycle management from design to deployment
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience (recent versions strongly preferred)
- Proven experience in full stack development
- Strong experience with RESTful API development
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience working with scientific or data-heavy applications
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Familiarity with bioinformatics or scientific platforms
- Exposure to Gene Data Biologics or similar tools
