Description
- The Senior Engineer in Production Management will be responsible for the development and overall implementation of software in a complex critical and large cross departmental and multidisciplinary area.
- The role is part of a multiyear transformation journey that will require a successful candidate to establish best practices, motivate and promote a cultural shift that will ensure a successful adoption of Engineering Principles and Practices within Production Management.
- The role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function, applies in‑depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions, and is accountable for delivery of a full range of end‑to‑end projects.
- Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally.
- Involved in short to medium term planning of actions and resources for own area.
Requirements
- Demonstrates an in‑depth understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and how it integrates within the overall technology landscape to deliver scalable, reliable and resilient applications.
- Ability to operate in a global environment with on‑shore or offshore matrix reporting structures.
- Operates into a highly regulated setting that requires in‑depth understanding of the regulatory requirements and the industry implications for our technologies.
- Improves the service level the team provides to our end users, which includes maximizing operational efficiencies, strengthening incident management, problem management and knowledge sharing practices.
- Drives Continuous Delivery and Automation efforts across the supported applications by means of root‑cause analysis reviews, knowledge management, performance tuning and user training.
- Fosters a culture that promotes transparency and innovation for increased team productivity.
- Coaches members of the team and beyond the immediate reporting line about best practices and recognizes antipatterns that are quickly addressed.
- Implements the Agile Framework through one of its implementations like SCRUM or Kanban and ensures it integrates with overall organization processes.
- Avidly communicates progress and project status across the organization and ensures that stakeholders are managed appropriately throughout the execution period.
Technical Expertise
- The candidate must have 10 years of overall IT experience with strong knowledge of the end‑to‑end project life cycle, preferably in an Agile delivery model.
- Java backend development experience with Core Java, Java EE, Spring Boot Framework and Microservices.
- Java front‑end development experience on ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript and Angular.
- Very good knowledge of end‑to‑end product development or new framework development.
- Knowledge of SQL is preferable.
- Exposure to continuous integration with CI/CD pipeline, either on‑premise or cloud, is an advantage.
- Experience with GitOps is also a plus point.
- Experience working on multiple technologies and medium to complex systems, well versed with design standards framework.
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86,129 - $127,189.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
