Two interview rounds consisting of:

• 30 minute hiring manager interview
• 1 hour onsite interview with the hiring manager

Priority Order

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Strong Java development experience
• Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (core framework stack; 70 75% of the role)
• REST API development (major responsibility of the role)
• Strong testing experience (TDD, BDD, ATDD, End-to-End Testing) (hiring manager specifically emphasized testing-heavy candidates)
• AWS Cloud experience (strongly preferred)
• Kubernetes, Kafka, EKS, and Docker (required cloud-native/container ecosystem)
• CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (candidates should own deployments and pipelines)
• Angular / TypeScript experience (10 15% of the role)
• SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning (approximately 5% of the role)

Notes

• Role aligns to Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) within Asset Management Technology supporting Managed Accounts platforms.
• This is a middle tier heavy full stack role with approximately:
  • 75% of the work focused on Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development
  • Angular work represents roughly 10 to 15% of development and candidates should have component and dashboard experience.
• Team is looking for engineers who are testing heavy and can explain the full testing lifecycle, including:
  • TDD
  • BDD
  • ATDD
  • End to end testing
• Candidates should have experience building and maintaining their own CI/CD pipelines and supporting deployments.
• AWS is strongly preferred, though Azure experience will be considered.
• Database work is approximately 5% of the role and includes:
  • Oracle
  • PL/SQL
  • Query optimization
  • Data modeling
  • Performance tuning
• Experience with GitHub is a nice to have as the team is beginning to leverage it more heavily.
• Project involves enhancing and working within existing codebases across multiple product areas.

As a senior engineer, you will play a key role, encouraged to gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the members of the squad to deliver outstanding customer experience solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience establishing technical architectures and best practices.
• Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular framework. (10-15%)
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and Spring Cloud framework. (70%)
• REST API required
• Experience with databases and SQL. Candidate should be able to query, performance tune and have a general understanding.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, TDD, BDD, ATDD, Spack testing.
  • Candidates should be able to explain the full suite of testing, end to end and open to participating in testing.
• Experience with AWS services.
  • Azure candidate will be considered but AWS is highly preferred.
• Understanding and experience working with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins
• Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub is preferred.

The position aligns to Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) division of Asset Management Technology (AMT) which provides worldwide technology and support to the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions.

SAT provides the technology platforms for our investment community to build and support our Managed Accounts Product Offering.
