We're working with a scale-up healthcare technology company in West Flanders is looking to add a Java Integration Engineer to its development team. The company builds software and integration solutions that help hospitals and healthcare organisations connect systems and exchange data securely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working with Java, integrations and complex technical environments, while contributing to products that have a clear impact on the healthcare sector, and also involves a large portion of client facing work, and understanding the requirements of large scale healthcare institutions and hospitals.
As a Java Integration Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain integrations between healthcare applications, platforms and external systems.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining integration solutions using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
- Building and integrating REST APIs and web services
- Connecting different applications and systems within complex IT environments
- Interacting with healthcare clients to understand their tailored needs
- Working with databases and SQL
- Troubleshooting integration issues and improving system reliability and performance
- Contributing to technical design and architectural decisions
- Working closely with colleagues and customers to understand integration requirements
- Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
Your Profile
- Several years of professional experience with Java development
- Strong experience with Spring or Spring Boot
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, web services and system integration
- Solid SQL and database knowledge
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Experience working with distributed systems or integration platforms
- A structured and analytical approach to solving technical problems
