Role: Senior Java Quality Engineer
Location: Plano, TX(Onsite)

Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Lead end-to-end test management activities, including test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation. Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG. Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve test coverage and release quality.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives using Jira.
- Design and implement automated API testing solutions using RestAssured, Karate, and other modern testing frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and SonarQube.
- Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing activities in cloud-native and distributed environments.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test reports, automation architecture documents, and quality metrics.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
- 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle 6+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
- 6+ years of strong experience in Test automation design, development and execution using frameworks eg. RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
- 6+ years of strong proven experience in programming Java/Spring boot. Strong SQL skills are required. Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript is an added advantage.
- 5+ years of strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD experience.
- Experience in working with Stock Plan Services/ Brokerage is a plus.
- The candidate should have experience in designing test strategy, test automation suites independently for a new product/application.
