Key Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Strong expertise in object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java
Strong expertise in SQL or other similar querying languages
Ability to explaining complex problems clearly and succinctly
Ability to work independently with mínimal direction
Passion to collaborate and iterate on ideas on a cross-functional team
Description
As a member of the Maps Evaluation team with a focus on service evaluation, you will be involved in evaluating the full life cycle of test authoring, from the generation of test data to test execution in official signoff runs.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing test cases to increase test coverage for highly visible & customer-impacting Maps services, as well as potentially creating associated tooling.
ON OUR TEAM, YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Collaborating cross-functionally with Maps test engineers and other Engineering teams
Authoring queries to extract relevant test data for existing or new tests
Authoring automated tests to ensure the logic mentioned above is correctly implemented, and does not regress during development iterations
Integrating such test suites into a continuously releasing and signing off workflow
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience will be considered
Additional Requirements
While the following experiences are not vital, one or more of these would be helpful in this role:
HOCON & Python development experience
Developing and/or deploying CI/CD pipeline experience
Java development expertise
SQL expertise
Testing mindset
Automation expertis
