You will be responsible for the seamless operation and management of applications within a managed portfolio. Your role includes performing regular updates and patches to maintain security and licensing compliance, monitoring performance metrics, optimizing configurations, and conducting performance testing.
Responsibilities- Install, configure and maintain applications in the managed portfolio.
- Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and security audits to keep applications secure and up‑to‑date.
- Provide L2 technical support and troubleshooting assistance to application users; respond to and resolve incidents in a timely manner, documenting requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate applications with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and conduct performance testing and tuning.
- Implement and maintain security measures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations; remediate penetration test findings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to application administration and propose improvements to management processes.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years of experience in application support; additional experience is a plus.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Solid knowledge of JBoss.
- Good working knowledge of SQL and PowerShell.
- Experience with Sybase, DB viewer tools, and basic understanding of the application architecture is a plus.
- Czech/Slovakian native speaker; comfortable in an English‑speaking environment.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
