We are looking for a Java Developer to join a project in the financial sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications while participating in the migration of existing .NET applications to Java-based microservices . This role requires ensuring high-quality deliverables, system performance, and adherence to project standards.
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Polanco, Mexico City , and 1 day remote per week.
Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java.
- Participate in the migration of legacy .NET applications to Java and modern microservices architecture.
- Build, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Support CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git.
- Design and maintain relational and/or NoSQL database models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for solutions, processes, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot .
- Experience designing and developing microservices .
- Hands‑on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git .
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum).
Nice to Have - Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration technologies.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry .
- Experience participating in .NET modernization or migration projects , migrating applications from .NET to Java.
- Intermediate English, with the ability to read and understand technical documentation.
