We are looking for a Java Developer to join a project in the financial sector.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications while participating in the migration of existing .
NET applications to Java-based microservices.
This role requires ensuring high-quality deliverables, system performance, and adherence to project standards.
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite in Polanco, Mexico City, and 1 day remote per week.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java.
Participate in the migration of legacy .
NET applications to Java and modern microservices architecture.
Build, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
Support CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git.
Design and maintain relational and/or NoSQL database models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for solutions, processes, and deliverables.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.
Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
Experience designing and developing microservices.
Hands‐on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum).
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration technologies.
Previous experience in the financial services industry.
Experience participating in .
NET modernization or migration projects, migrating applications from .
NET to Java.
Intermediate English, with the ability to read and understand technical documentation.
