ABOUT THE ROLE
I'm hiring backend engineers to build for one of the biggest names in global travel, working through a fast growing technology consultancy in triple digit growth. You would be building and maintaining software in production on cloud infrastructure, applying solid software engineering principles, and working in agile teams on systems that run at real travel industry scale.
This is a hands on engineering role with genuine ownership. You will develop and test software, co develop solutions with your team, design scalable API access patterns, build integrations between distributed services, and take real care over clean, maintainable, well tested code.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Developing and testing backend software to meet design requirements
- Collaborating with your team to co develop solutions and solve problems
- Writing clean, maintainable, modular code using sound design principles and patterns
- Designing scalable API access patterns and integrations across distributed services
- Working with SQL and NoSQL data storage
- Testing, monitoring and debugging your own code effectively
- Reporting clearly on progress and contributing to team goals
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- 4 plus years of software development experience for mid level, around 7 years for senior
- Proficiency in a JVM language, Java or Kotlin (Kotlin can be from personal or professional projects)
- Experience building and maintaining software in production on public or hybrid cloud
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data storage and scalable API design
- Experience building integrations between distributed services
- Solid grounding in agile ways of working, version control and testing
- Right to work in Spain as a full time employee, no sponsorship available
WHAT'S ON OFFER
