Job Description:
As a Java Software Engineer II, you will develop and support high-performance, event-driven applications that process financial transactions at scale. You will build Java microservices, support production systems, optimize platform performance, and contribute to modern cloud-native and AI-driven solution development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs.
- Build event-driven solutions using Kafka and related technologies.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and development tasks.
- Develop modular, maintainable, and high-quality code following best practices.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Support applications throughout their complete production lifecycle.
- Contribute to AI-assisted applications, agentic workflows, and automation initiatives.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience building microservices and cloud-ready applications.
- Expertise in Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Experience developing RESTful web services and working with JPA.
- Strong production support, troubleshooting, and platform optimization skills.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted applications, autonomous agents, or agentic workflow systems.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery practices.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, software design patterns, and code quality practices.
- Agile Scrum experience with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
