Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Developer – Spring Boot API Platform (Level 4) with 8–10+ years of experience in distributed application development. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernizing and expanding our API ecosystem through application migration initiatives, new microservice development, and Azure-based deployments.
This position supports a large-scale banking environment where APIs integrate with enterprise backend systems and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Participate in migration projects from Node.js applications to Spring Boot.
- Develop new APIs and microservices from the ground up.
- Design and support database solutions for new applications and services.
- Implement integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deploy and support Azure-hosted applications.
- Monitor and optimize application performance using Dynatrace and/or Datadog.
- Support enterprise system integrations, including mainframe-connected environments.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and production support activities.
Required Skills
- 8–10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong database experience, preferably Oracle.
- Experience with Dynatrace or Datadog.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and API‑based architectures.
Preferred Skills
- Banking or financial services experience.
- Experience migrating applications from Node.js to Spring Boot.
- Experience with z/OS Connect and mainframe integrations.
- Working knowledge of COBOL or mainframe technologies.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Enterprise API design and implementation experience.
