We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a team delivering high-quality software on critical projects.
You will work as part of an Agile/Scrum team and be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging and deployment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering high-quality Java applications
- Writing unit, integration and feature tests
- Working with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues
- Creating and maintaining low-level technical designs and documentation
- Supporting CI/CD and software delivery activities
- Debugging, performance tuning and improving application reliability
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities
- Contributing to digital transformation and wider engineering projects
What we're looking for
You should have strong hands-on experience with:
- Java and associated technologies
- Spring Boot
- Unit testing, test automation and TDD
- DevOps tooling and CI/CD
- Debugging, profiling and performance tuning
- Agile software delivery
Experience with Docker or other container technologies would also be beneficial.
We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a genuine desire to continue developing their technical knowledge.
