Job Title: Java Backend Developer
This opportunity is an Independent contract position. Please note that it does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or other standard employment perks. The agreed contract rate is the total compensation, and you will be responsible for managing your own insurance and related needs.
Job Description (JD)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8+ years of hands‑on experience in backend development with strong Java expertise (Java 8/11/17+).
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and relational databases (e.g., Oracle/PostgreSQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Docker/Kubernetes, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
- Solid understanding of payments domain, security best practices (e.g., encryption, OAuth, PCI‑DSS principles), and high‑availability systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work in agile environments, and excellent communication in English (Cantonese/ Mandarin is a plus).
