- Expected to design and build scalable Java 11+ microservices and full‑stack features, leveraging multithreading and Kafka-based event streaming to deliver high‑performance, resilient solutions for multiple regulatory applications
- Responsible for implementing data access and persistence using MongoDB and SQL/PLSQL, while ensuring production readiness through centralized logging/observability (ELK) and strong troubleshooting practices.
- Implement event-driven integrations using Kafka (topics, producers/consumers) to enable reliable asynchronous processing across services.
- Build and maintain full‑stack features (UI + API layers) and integrate with downstream services/APIs as required.
- Apply multithreading/concurrency concepts where needed for performance, throughput, and responsiveness in backend processing (e.g., scheduled jobs / high-volume flows).
- Design and optimize persistence/data access using MongoDB and RDBMS (SQL/PLSQL), including query optimization and schema-level considerations.
- Enable strong observability and troubleshooting by leveraging centralized logging/monitoring practices and tools such as ELK and related platforms.
- Support CI/CD and deployment readiness by working with containerized/microservices ecosystems (e.g., Docker/OpenShift patterns used in similar Citi programs).
- Participate in production support and engineering excellence—analyzing alerts, performing root‑cause analysis, and implementing fixes to maintain stability.
- Work experience on the transactional applications for low latency, high availability uses is a plus
- Work experience on the distributed caching solutions is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and agile development environment and to learn new frameworks/stacks
- Adherence to clean coding principles, design patterns, and best practices to produce maintainable, readable, and efficient code
