Java Senior Software Engineer – MLPP – (Hybrid)

We’re seeking an experienced Java Senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning Production Platform Team in Barcelona, Milan, Alicante or Milan (hybrid) to drive the development of our Machine Learning platform. The mission is to develop and operate the platform and infrastructure that runs our ML models, working closely with Data Scientists to run predictions in production and build essential ML platform tools such as data tracking and feature store.

What you will do:

The role’s key responsibilities and tasks include:

• 
  
• Work with innovative technologies including Java17, BigData tools (Kafka, Cassandra, Postgres, BigQuery, BigTable, Redis, Neo4j), machine learning, and Datamesh in a continuous delivery and cloud‑based environment (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP). Supported by a high‑quality monitoring process with SonarQube and Datadog.
  
• Create engineers that challenge the status quo, bring new ideas, influence product direction, and actively shape how we solve customer problems.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  
• Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI‑powered coding assistants.
  
• Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI‑driven solutions into software development workflows.
  
• AI‑Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity.
  
• Adaptability and Learning Agility: Enthusiastic about continuously learning and quickly adapting to new AI features and capabilities.
  
• Collaboration with AI: Experience or interest in collaborating closely with AI tools as “pair programmers” to complement traditional software development practices.
