Position Overview
Software Engineer – Java (Senior / Mid Level)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software.
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of applications following a DevOps model (“you build it, you run it”).
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams and also work independently.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including QA activities and peer reviews.
- Align development work with product vision and business goals.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within your team and technical domain.
Requirements
- Strong Java programming skills with experience building REST APIs.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Hands‑on experience with testing (Unit, API, Acceptance, Load testing).
- Experience with distributed systems (SOA, microservices) and event‑driven architectures.
- Familiarity with build tools (Gradle or Maven) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
- Experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).
- Knowledge of AWS services (mandatory for senior profiles, optional for mid‑level).
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking, fintech).
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- AWS certifications and serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate).
- Experience with TDD and BDD practices.
Work Location & Schedule
100% remote (Spain).
Business hours – 40 hours weekly with 1 hour for lunch.
