Role: Java Sphinx Developer

Duration: 6+ months
Job Summary:
- The selected candidate will be embedded within an Agile delivery squad responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of backend microservices.
- Working primarily in Java 21 with Spring Boot, the individual will contribute to the full software development lifecycle from solution design and coding to testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build RESTful and event-driven microservices for banking workflows such as payments, account management, transaction processing, and reporting.
- Develop and optimize data access and persistence layers using MongoDB, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity at scale.
- Integrate services across cloud-native infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP), leveraging managed services such as API Gateways, message queues, secret stores, and observability tooling.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Adhere to banking-grade standards covering security, audit logging, data residency, and regulatory compliance (e.g. PCI-DSS, GDPR, BCBS 239).
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support knowledge transfer within the team.
