We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions while collaborating closely with architects, business analysts, Dev Ops engineers, and cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about clean code, modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and API-driven development.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services. Apply software design patterns and object-oriented design principles to build maintainable and extensible applications. Collaborate with solution architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in system design sessions and technical discussions. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues. Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability standards. Work closely with Dev Ops teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Continuously improve development standards, coding practices, and engineering processes. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of Java development experience. 5+ years of experience developing applications using Spring Boot. Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. Strong experience building Microservices architecture. Experience working in Agile development environments. Technical Skills Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate REST API Development, Microservices Architecture Amazon Web Services (AWS): Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, IAM Software Design: OOP, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns (Factory, Strategy, Builder, Singleton, Observer, etc.) Domain-Driven Design (advantageous) Databases: Postgre SQL, Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server, No SQL databases (Mongo DB, Dynamo DB) – advantageous Integration: REST APIs, JSON, Swagger/Open API, API Security, OAuth2, JWT Dev Ops & Tools: Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, Sonar Qube Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Integration Testing, Unit Testing, API Testing Desired Experience Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications. Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures. Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or Rabbit MQ (advantageous). Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools. Experience with performance tuning and application optimization. Exposure to secure software development practices. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
