Strong hands-on background with Java/Spring Boot, React/TypeScript, AWS, APIs, and modern cloud architecture

Additional Context

This person will work closely with our client Solution Architect to establish reference architecture and development standards.
They will be responsible for ensuring multiple developers, including offshore resources, are aligned and executing consistently.
Leadership through influence and mentorship is critical.
The manager emphasized that this candidate must be able to operate beyond the level of a Senior Developer and be highly self-sufficient.

4x a week onsite role in Tampa, Florida . MUST Be local to Florida only and have prior Lead experience

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

Establishing / Maintaining project specifications and technical direction
Creating / Maintaining a framework of technical standards and procedures
Creating / Maintaining a framework of Development Standards
Work with Solutions Architecture to maintain C4 Model documentation
Overseeing software quality and system modifications
Guiding team members with troubleshooting technical issues
Analyzing existing operations to identify risks and redundancies
Conducting comprehensive assessments to develop solutions
Determining project technical and development requirements
Ensures that EPICs, Stories, etc. contain the right level of detail to ensure efficiency and quality in every sprint
Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard
Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Motivating development staff (mentoring) and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
Delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.

YOUR CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
8 years of Application Development experience and / or experience as a Technical Lead
Knowledge of IT processes, IT functions (development, infrastructure, security, governance), and technology (cloud, big data, architecture, APIs)
Knowledge of Agile, Project Management, and Innovation processes
Ability to work with teams in Application Managed Services (AMS) environment driving engagement with an ownership mindset
Experience leading projects
Understanding of business processes and best practices to provide effective solutions

YOUR SPECIFIC CREDENTIALS:

Digital Factory Leader:

Extensive experience and the ability to lead and mentor others in:
- Java/Spring Boot/Gradle
- React/Typescript/NodeJS
  - NextJS, NestJS experience is a plus
- Python/FastAPI
  - Pandas, Django experience is a plus
- Docker files and composing services with Docker Compose
- Git
  - Conventional Commits and Keep a Changelog conventions
Strong knowledge of and experience with:
- AWS Cloud
  - Kubernetes
  - Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, IAM, S3, RDS, EC2, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch
