In this role you design and evolve the Java-based client infrastructure for Simcenter STAR-CCM+, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, modular UI solutions. You will implement features, refactor code, and contribute to a large, distributed code base while maintaining quality through tests. You’ll work closely with UX and framework colleagues to optimize user workflows and experiences. • Design, document and build robust, extensible software for the Java client of Simcenter STAR-CCM+
• Implement new features and refactor existing code
• Collaborate with colleagues using Jira, Confluence, Git and Bitbucket
• Work with UX and vertical teams to craft efficient user workflows
• Operate in a modern IDE within a large, distributed environment
• Participate in peer-based design and code reviews
• Build and maintain automated unit and integration tests
• Navigate and work with hundreds of modules in a large codebase
• Occasionally travel to collaborate in person
Responsabilidades
• Degree or commensurate experience in computer science, engineering or mathematics with 3+ years of post-academic software development experience
• Expertise crafting client-server, desktop products for Linux and Windows
• Strong knowledge of the Java language, including modern features
• Experience xqbhyrx developing Java clients in Swing/NetBeans or a similar framework
• Experience with large-scale datasets and stringent performance/quality requirements
• Experience handling large, legacy code bases
• Proficiency with Git
• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly
