We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD pipeline automation, deployment processes, infrastructure monitoring, and observability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Jenkins, Linux automation, containerised deployments, and monitoring platforms, with a strong interest in understanding how applications are built, deployed, monitored, and optimised across the entire software delivery lifecycle.
This role will work closely with development, infrastructure, and platform engineering teams to improve automation, deployment reliability, and application observability.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & DevOps Automation
Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Understand and troubleshoot the complete software delivery pipeline:
Source code retrieval
Code quality and vulnerability scanning
Container image build and packaging
Deployment to target environments
Assist in developing and maintaining automated deployment workflows.
Monitor build and deployment processes and identify failures or bottlenecks.
Work with containerised applications and cloud-native deployment practices.
Linux & Scripting
Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for operational automation.
Automate tasks such as:
SCP file transfers
Remote command execution
Deployment verification checks
Log collection and reporting
Analyze script execution results and implement automated success/failure handling.
Monitoring & Observability
Support monitoring platform integration and maintenance.
Understand the purpose and differences between various observability data types:
Metrics
Logs
Traces
Assist in monitoring infrastructure and applications using tools such as:
Grafana
Prometheus
PRTG
Elasticsearch
Other cloud-native monitoring platforms
Participate in initiatives to enhance application monitoring and observability.
Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
Support implementation of end-to-end application monitoring capabilities.
Help improve visibility across the application journey:
Browser/User Layer
Web Server
Backend Services
Database Layer
Assist in integrating tracing and performance monitoring solutions to improve application troubleshooting and performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, System Administration, or related fields.
Hands‑on experience with Jenkins.
Experience working with Linux environments.
Knowledge of Bash/Shell scripting.
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with containers and container deployment concepts.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze operational issues.
