Job Type: Fulltime (Financial). Location: Montreal, QC (Need Locals).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack
- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews
- Work closely with architects or senior engineers on the low-level designs
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling
- Remain current on new technologies and make recommendations as necessary
- Perform unit and dev testing to deliver high-quality solutions
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes
- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
Requirements
- 4+ years of total experience in Java, Spring framework, Spring boot, and JPA
- Working knowledge of Relational DBs (MySQL/PostgreSQL) & NoSQL DBs (MongoDB)
- Knowledge of build tools like Maven.
- API based platform development experience
- Strong experience in SQL and in-depth knowledge of data structures
- Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities
- Some recent and successful experience in a properly functioning agile team would be extremely advantageous
