Junior Java Developer
Role Overview
We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Java Developer for Security to join our dynamic team for our client.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of enterprise software development experience in Java, with strong API knowledge
- Hands‑on experience with Git/GitHub, CodeQL, IBM AppScan, and HP Fortify Static Code Analysis
- Solid understanding of OWASP security vulnerabilities and practical experience addressing them
- Experience implementing security authentication in applications
- Ability to provide guidance and support to QA teams
- Experience using ServiceNow or JIRA for defect tracking and test case management
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, XML, XSL, UML, and ClearCase is a plus
- Experience with development and testing tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code, Postman, ANT, and Maven
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting is required
- Additional skills in security remediation and Unix administration, including patching infrastructure issues, are preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking industry
- Understanding of enterprise security vulnerabilities
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues through research and hands‑on experimentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Willingness to step outside comfort zones and take on new challenges
