We're Hiring: Kotlin / Java Microservices Developer | Amsterdam (Netherlands)
We're looking for a talented Kotlin / Java Microservices Developer to join our team in Amsterdam on a 6-month contract (ASAP start).
Role Overview
As a Developer, you will design and build scalable microservices using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot, contributing to high-performance, cloud-based applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
- Design scalable, high-performance backend systems
- Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define technical solutions
- Ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices
- Participate in deployments and support CI/CD processes
- Work within cloud environments, particularly Azure Local
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java microservices development
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of Kafka and event-driven architectures
- Experience with microservices design patterns
- Familiarity with Azure environments is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
