Responsibilities
Lab Processing Assistants perform pre-analytic specimen processing, operates a variety of laboratory and office equipment, enters information and test orders into the laboratory computer system and may respond to a high volume of phone calls seeking laboratory testing information. Is responsible for ensuring correct patient identification on specimens and documentation and resolution of pre-analytic specimen-related issues.
They are an integral part of the laboratory team providing support in patient testing. May perform complex reagent preparation, manage work unit supply inventory, operate automated systems and provide training to others.

Qualifications
Associate's degree OR High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years work experience including clinical laboratory and/or other relevant experience.

The pay range for the Laboratory Processing Assistant role is $20.00 - $26.44 per hour. Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 40 Schedule Details Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, 1 in 4 weekends. Training will take place mainly from 7am - 3:30pm Mon-Fri, with two "off-hours" training days from 4am - 12:30pm. Weekend Schedule 1 in 4 weekends. Hours will vary between days, evenings and overnights. Will have a 2-3 weekend shifts (7am - 3:30pm) during training to solidify newly learned "off-hours" concepts.
