Rotational Shifts: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.

The Opportunity: We are looking for aLaser Cutter Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our laser cutting department. This is a genuine working supervisor role where you'll lead by example, supporting production on the shop floor while driving quality, productivity and continuous improvement.
You'll play a key role in ensuring customer expectations are met, production targets are achieved and your team has the support they need to succeed, while keeping morale and motivation high.

----------------------------------------------------------------- The Role: - Supervising the daily operation of the laser cutting department
- Leading, motivating and supporting the laser cutting team
- Planning and allocating workloads to meet production schedules
- Operating and setting laser cutting machinery when required
- Carrying out first-off inspections and ensuring products meet customer specifications
- Working closely with Programming, Production Planning, Quality and Operations teams
- Supporting recruitment and induction of new team members
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the department

What We're Looking For: - Previous experience team leading or supervising a laser cutting department or manufacturing team
- Experience operating laser cutting machinery
- A strong understanding of engineering drawings and sheet metal fabrication
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines
- Strong communication and people management skills
- A quality-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
Desirable: - Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser cutting equipment
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- Forklift licence
- First Aid qualification
