We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to architect and drive the development of large-scale, real-time data systems that power mission-critical platforms. You'll design and build robust backend and streaming infrastructure, lead high-impact projects from concept to production, and work closely with cross-functional teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves solving hard data engineering problems at scale — from real-time stream processing to distributed systems architecture.
What you'll do:
Architect and develop robust, scalable systems using Python, with a focus on real-time applications.
Design and implement big data solutions using Kafka, and Spark, to process high-throughput, real-time data feeds.
Lead the development of innovative, high-impact projects such as real-time tracking and optimization platforms, and large-scale operational management solutions.
Contribute to and evolve backend architecture
Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams across multiple countries to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Mentor engineers and help set technical direction and best practices for the data engineering team.
What we're looking for:
Strong experience with Kafka and real-time/streaming data architectures.
Proficiency in Python,.
Proven track record designing and scaling distributed, high-throughput backend systems.
Hands-on experience with big data and stream-processing frameworks (Spark,, or similar).
Comfortable leading projects end-to-end and working with cross-border, cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures.
