Job Title: Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer Informatica CONTRACT TO HIRE - ONLY W2 Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15222 Job Type: Contract W2 Only Industry: Banking / Financial Services Job Description We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer with strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, Informatica, SQL, and data warehousing. The ideal candidate will work closely with Finance Product Owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions supporting large-scale financial datasets.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate business and technical requirements and provide recommendations on solution scope and complexity.
- Collaborate with Finance Product Owners and analysts to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
- Design and develop scalable data solutions for complex business requirements.
- Develop and document technical specifications and solution designs.
- Perform hands-on ETL development, coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews and overall testing.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Skills:
- 4 6 years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL Development.
- Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud (IICS).
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience with large-scale data transformations.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Teradata.
- Experience developing and optimizing data pipelines handling large-scale datasets.
- Strong understanding of ETL and data integration concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Banking or financial services industry experience is required/preferred.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with UDeploy and Artifactory.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of financial and cost data.
- Experience with Activity-Based Costing (ABC) or customer profitability systems.
