This isn't a support role and it isn't joining a mature platform.
They're at the point where key architectural decisions are still being made, the environment is still taking shape, and they need senior engineers who have done this before.
The objective is straightforward: build Databricks into the core data platform for the group and migrate away from a fragmented legacy estate.
Responsibilities Helping define platform standards and engineering best practice Building and optimising data pipelines in Azure Working across legacy Oracle and SQL Server environments Collaborating with the Head of Data Platform and wider engineering team Contributing to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on What they\'re looking for Strong Databricks experience in production environments xqbhyrx Previous migration experience into Databricks Py Spark and SQL expertise Experience with modern lakehouse architectures Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment Able to take ownership rather than wait for direction Nice to have Unity Catalok CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code exposure #J-18808-Ljbffr
