Lead Data Engineer – Secure Analytics & Data Platforms
Compas is seeking experienced Lead Data Engineers to support complex data engineering initiatives across secure, high-impact environments. This role is ideal for senior data professionals with strong experience designing data pipelines, improving data interoperability, leading data engineering practices, and enabling advanced analytics outcomes.
Location: ACT or SA Contract Duration: 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: Current TSPV clearance required
Essential Tasks:
- Lead analysis to define, structure and solve complex data engineering challenges.
- Build, maintain and deploy data pipelines, data stores and analytical environments.
- Provide advice on data requirements, future-state models, designs and solutions.
- Identify process improvements and support governance of data engineering practices.
Key Criteria:
- Strong experience leading data engineering methods, tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated capability in data modelling, design and data integration.
- Ability to write scripts or code to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or a similar discipline.
