We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to help design, build and support secure, highly available enterprise integration platforms.
This role suits a senior .NET and Azure integration specialist who can combine hands-on development with technical leadership, product-focused delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.

- 12 month contract with likely 12 month extension

You will:
- Lead the development and enhancement of complex enterprise information systems.
- Design, build and support APIs, integration services and automated workflows.
- Develop solutions using .NET, .NET Core, C# and Microsoft Azure.
- Deliver enterprise integrations using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage and Queues.
- Build and maintain REST and SOAP web services using JSON and XML.
- Implement modern authentication and secure integration patterns.
- Establish automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Support platforms requiring high availability, reliability and strong security controls.
- Contribute to product planning, prioritisation and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively across engineering, architecture, security, operations and business teams.
- Mentor developers and promote engineering standards and best practices.
About you You will bring:
- Extensive experience developing complex enterprise information systems.
- Strong commercial experience with .NET, .NET Core and C#.
- Demonstrated API development and automation experience.
- Deep knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, SQL, NoSQL and web services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure integration services, including:
- Azure API Management
- Azure Web APIs
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Storage
- Azure Queues
- Experience implementing modern authentication and authorisation methods.
- Strong test automation experience across unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with GitHub, Jira and Confluence.
- CI/CD automation experience using DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with containers, serverless services and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience working in Agile, DevSecOps and product-focused teams.
- Exposure to high-security, high-availability enterprise environments.
Desirable
- Experience leading or mentoring software development teams.
- Exposure to government, financial services, utilities or other regulated environments.
- Experience supporting enabling platforms used by multiple internal or external teams.
- Strong understanding of operational support, monitoring and incident management.
