Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters or MBA degree in preferably Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Supply Chain
  • 10+ years experience in application development
  • Technical Leadership: Ability to lead and guide multiple teams, make decisions and provide technical direction. Ability to inspire and motivate teams fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Javascript, Node.js and frameworks such as Vue.js
    • Experience with HTML and CSS
    • Experience with object-oriented development and data sources such as Oracle and MongoDB
    • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is a plus
  • Adaptability: Capability to adapt to changing requirements, technology trends, and business needs.
  • Decision-Making: Strong decision-making abilities to evaluate trade-offs and make informed choices that balance technical and business considerations.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $122,800 to $153,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for a Lead Developer on the Deal Configuration team in the IT – SC&E organization located at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The Deal Configuration team owns three applications across our internal services organization: Deals, Solutions, and Service Quoting. These applications help support the pre-sales, engineering, scoping, and quoting processes of an opportunity lifecycle with the goal of winning new business. These applications are in high demand and are currently being used by our WWT internal users around the globe. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team consisting of Developers, Analysts, Architects and Product Owners.

Successful candidates will have a background in full stack development and will be responsible for leading the translation of business needs into IT solutions with current programs, projects, and initiatives in mind. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, highly innovative and has passion for learning both business and technical processes. This position also includes leading development efforts, mentoring junior developrs, and contributing to strategic planning and execution.

What will you be doing?

This role uses a broad range of functional and technical skills toward the build-out and integration of custom WWT applications and third-party vendor systems and products. This position plays a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions. This employee will leverage their experience to contribute and help drive complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

This role is expected to adopt an AI‑first mindset, actively leveraging modern AI‑powered development tools to improve development speed, code quality, testing effectiveness, and overall delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote WWT Core Values and help Shape best practices.
  • Software Design and Development: Collaborate, develop and communicate a clear technical vision and roadmap ensuring that it supports the long term strategic goals set by Architecture/IT Sr Leadership.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals of the organization.
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Lead by example, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the organization to foster technical growth at scale.
  • Innovation and Problem Solving: Evaluate and incorporate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development processes and product capabilities within teams and the organization.
  • Testing: Ensure that appropriate testing strategies (unit, integration, regression, UAT) are in place and that test coverage of the team/organization is in place and meets standards set by Quality Engineers.
