What will you do?
Join a strategic transformation initiative focused on building and enhancing an in-house collateral management platform. As a Senior Java Developer, you will design, develop, and integrate enterprise-grade solutions, working closely with architects, technical leads, QA engineers, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient applications while leveraging modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software development approaches.
Your tasks
- Design and develop Java-based microservices and backend components
- Build and integrate enterprise applications across multiple workstreams
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads on solution design decisions
- Implement robust testing strategies including unit and integration testing
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and quality controls
- Design and consume REST APIs and event-driven integrations
- Ensure application security, performance, resilience, and operational stability
- Contribute to cloud-based solution development on Google Cloud Platform
- Support delivery of AI-enabled engineering capabilities and software development practices
- Participate in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- Around 8 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot microservices
- Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
- Knowledge of schema design, performance tuning, and transactional processing
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and API testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Knowledge of code quality and security tooling including Sonar, SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning
- Understanding of REST APIs, integration patterns, messaging, and event-driven architectures
- Experience contributing to technical design and architecture discussions
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of GenAI concepts, LLMs, RAG, and agent-based architectures
- Understanding of AI governance, controls, and responsible engineering practices
- Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 8 days a month
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated financial services environments
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies including containers and Kubernetes
- Experience with service mesh and observability tools
- Knowledge of performance engineering and resilience testing
- Experience implementing AI-enabled SDLC practices
- Hands-on experience building or integrating GenAI solutions
- Experience with prompt management, evaluation frameworks, or RAG pipelines
