Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, and Payment Technologies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on software development experience and a proven track record of leading the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise payment applications.
The candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive payment transformation initiatives using modern cloud-native and event-driven technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise payment applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices Architecture.
Design and develop secure, scalable, high-performance REST APIs and event-driven solutions.
Build and maintain modern frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
Develop and support payment solutions involving:
ACH
Wire Transfers
SWIFT
Real-Time Payments (RTP)
ISO 20022
Card Payments
Merchant Payments
Collaborate with business, product, architecture, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver payment transformation initiatives.
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture, integration strategies, and technology decisions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to developers across distributed Agile teams.
Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
Develop and optimize database solutions using Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
Support containerized application development and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
Support application deployments across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, and high availability.

Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-scale, distributed applications.
Hands-on experience in the Payments Domain, including one or more of the following:
ACH
Wire Transfers
SWIFT
Real-Time Payments (RTP)
ISO 20022
Card Payments
Merchant Payments
Strong understanding of payment workflows, transaction processing, payment security, and compliance requirements.
Experience designing secure APIs and integrating distributed systems.
Strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
