Lead Program Manager — Amsterdam, Netherlands
A global technology and online commerce organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives within its Grocery and Retail business.
This is a strategic and highly visible role combining program leadership, commercial strategy, stakeholder management and operational execution. The successful candidate will bring structure to complex initiatives, align senior stakeholders and ensure programs deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of complex cross-functional programs.
- Drive strategic initiatives supporting Grocery and Retail growth.
- Coordinate teams across Product, Logistics, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Technology and other functions.
- Establish and track milestones, budgets, KPIs and delivery targets.
- Identify and resolve strategic, operational and technical challenges proactively.
- Develop innovative solutions to commercial and technical problems.
- Provide senior leadership with clear progress updates, insights and recommendations.
- Use data and analysis to support decision-making and improve program outcomes.
- Influence stakeholders across multiple levels without direct authority.
- Drive accountability, collaboration and adoption across complex initiatives.
Ideal background:
- Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to take ownership and deliver measurable commercial or operational outcomes.
- Comfortable operating across strategic planning, analytical problem-solving and hands-on execution.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate complex issues effectively.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and proactively remove delivery roadblocks.
- Experience within technology, e-commerce, retail, logistics or another fast-paced, complex operating environment would be advantageous.
