Job Description:
For more than 60 years, since the dawn of the Space Age, our L3Harris weather business has been an industry-leading provider of high precision, space-based instruments for severe weather tracking and forecasting, along with low latency, high throughput ground systems supporting command, control, communications, data processing, and spectrum management for customers worldwide. We are seeking a Program Manager responsible for successful program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance in this rapidly growing business area. This role leads all phases of program activity from start up through delivery, leveraging technical development and project management experience to shape program direction and ensure both programmatic and business success. The Program Manager will engage directly with customers, suppliers, leadership, and cross functional teams, frequently navigating complex challenges that require innovative problem solving and broad organizational awareness.
Essential Functions:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience managing technology development programs with annual revenues of $50M+ Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of approximately 25+ personnel Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers in performance-based environments Experience managing capital asset development Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience with space-based hardware development or infrared remote sensing Strong customer relationships with NASA, NOAA, or DoD
