Job SummarySTAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer on behalf of our client in St. Louis, MO.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and development of next-generation software solutions and AI-powered frameworks. This hybrid role is ideal for a technology leader with expertise in modern Java-based applications, front-end technologies, APIs, and emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI frameworks and large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and architectural skills who enjoys solving complex business challenges while mentoring engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable Agentic AI frameworks using MCP layers and LLM technologies.
- Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, REST APIs, Angular, and React.
- Develop and maintain internal and external dashboards using Qlik Sense.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather functional and technical requirements.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Qlik Sense environments and data sources.
- Manage dashboard deployments, user access, and security configurations.
- Evaluate and optimize platform performance and cluster health.
- Design and implement high-quality Data Marts that support enterprise products and analytics.
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, scalability, and integrity.
- Interpret conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support application development.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and process flowcharts to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and engineering best practices across development teams.
- 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Java application development and RESTful API design.
- Hands-on experience with Angular and React.
- Experience designing and implementing Agentic AI frameworks using MCP layers and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Strong analytical, architectural, and product design capabilities.
- Experience working with Qlik Sense administration and dashboard development.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including entities, relationships, constraints, and data types.
- Experience designing and implementing Data Marts or enterprise data solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
- Experience building scalable enterprise platforms and cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of modern AI architecture patterns and intelligent automation frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, governance, and deployment best practices.
